The Universitat Politècnica de València drives educational innovation with the “Immersive Classroom” project
The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) announces the launch of the Immersive Classroom project, an initiative within the Learning + Teaching 2024 Call, promoted by the Institute of Educational Sciences (ICE). This project is part of the Educational Innovation and Improvement Projects in Consolidated Teams (PIME-C), highlighting UPV’s commitment to consolidating quality and innovation in teaching and learning processes.
The main objective of the “Immersive Classroom” project is to transform the educational environment by implementing cutting-edge technological tools that allow for immersive learning experiences. Through the use of technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and other digital resources, the project aims to promote active and participatory learning that meets the educational needs of the 21st century.
This initiative is made possible thanks to the support of the Evaluation and Monitoring Committee for Innovation Projects (CESPIME), which, together with ICE, works to strengthen institutional leadership in educational innovation processes. Additionally, it seeks to foster collaboration between consolidated and emerging teams to enrich teaching practices and adapt to new educational challenges.
The Learning + Teaching 2024 Call includes three participation categories:
- PIME-I. Institutional Projects, addressing the university’s strategic objectives.
- PIME-C. Consolidated Team Projects, aimed at groups with a history in educational innovation.
- PIME-E. Emerging Team Projects, designed to boost initiatives of developing groups.
With the “Immersive Classroom” project, UPV reaffirms its commitment to improving teaching and implementing innovative methodologies that benefit both students and faculty.
